Introduction to the difference between crawler bulldozers and wheeled bulldozers
Bulldozers are one of the important mechanical equipment in earthwork engineering machinery. During the construction process, they can complete the work of pushing, excavating, back-filling earthwork and other bulk materials. They are generally used in projects such as highways, mines, and water conservancy projects. Our common bulldozers are crawler bulldozers and tire bulldozers. They mainly choose different bulldozers according to different working conditions.
1. Crawler bulldozers
The advantages of crawler bulldozers are very obvious. Its crawler can provide greater traction and adhesion like a tank, which can make the operation of the diesel engine more efficient, and the bulldozer force is generally greater. Moreover, in some important areas, especially those construction sites that are more easily damaged, because its ground contact area is relatively large and the ground contact pressure is relatively small, it is generally in this case. Its climbing ability is very strong, but the speed is too low. It is generally used in mines and farmland operations.
2. Wheeled bulldozers
This type of machinery can be completed by a series of modifications from an ordinary loader chassis. It is a construction machinery with strong adaptability to working conditions. After modification, it can adapt to more special working conditions. Compared with crawler bulldozers, this type of bulldozer is obviously more maneuverable, can have a faster driving speed, is more convenient to transfer to the construction site, and will not damage the paved road surface. It can complete earthwork operations such as pushing, digging, leveling, and back-filling with higher efficiency; it has strong maneuverability and flexibility, and is easy to transfer to the construction site. Therefore, it is widely used in civil construction, road construction, airports, dams, mining, port terminals and national defense engineering construction.
