Compare 12 LICH single drum roller models, from a 330 kg walk-behind to an 18 t vibratory roller: drum width, amplitude, frequency and centrifugal force.
A single drum roller has one vibrating steel drum at the front and rubber tyres at the rear. The tyres give traction on loose fill and slopes, which is why the single drum roller is the standard machine for soil, gravel, crushed stone and rock fill under roads, yards, dams and building platforms.
Our 12 single drum roller models run from the 330 kg LC600 walk-behind to the 18,000 kg LCS718H. The table lists drum width, amplitude, frequency and centrifugal force for each one, so you can match the roller to the material and lift thickness before asking for a price.

LC600 walk-behind single drum roller with 330 kg operating weight and a 600 mm drum.
18,000 kg single-drum roller with hydraulic rear-wheel drive, a 2,130 mm drum and two vibration frequencies.
Drum weight sets how deep a single drum roller compacts. The 8 t LCS208H, with a 1,700 mm drum and 230 N/cm static linear load, suits road base and trench backfill in thinner lifts. The 12–14 t models put 280–373 N/cm on a 2,100 mm drum for most highway and airport subgrade work. The 16 t and 18 t machines reach 373–470 N/cm for rock fill, dam embankments and mine roads.
The LC600 walk-behind is the small exception: 330 kg and a 600 mm drum for patch repairs, footpaths and trenches too narrow for a ride-on machine.

Compacting soil, sand, gravel, crushed stone and rock fill in road bases, embankments, dams, airports, ports and building platforms. The rubber rear tyres give the traction needed on loose material.
A single drum roller has one steel drum and rear tyres and works on soil and aggregate. A double drum (tandem) roller has two steel drums and is used mainly on asphalt.
Our models weigh 330 kg (LC600 walk-behind), 8,000 kg, 10,000 kg, 12,000 kg, 14,000 kg, 16,000 kg and 18,000 kg.
The 12–18 t models have two settings, from 1.6/0.8 mm up to 2.0/1.0 mm. High amplitude reaches deeper into thick lifts; low amplitude finishes the surface. Frequency is 28–29/35 Hz on the hydraulic models and 30 Hz on the mechanical ones.
A Cummins 6BT5.9 on the 10–16 t models, a Cummins 4BT3.9 on the 8 t LCS208H and a 140 kW WP6G190 on the 18 t LCS718H.
